This is what tyranny looks like.

I don’t think this is about seating arrangements… this is I thought about not disgusting the agenda at the meeting?
-
Wow the power went straight to that mayors head! He will make a mess of the city! Sad.

Soooo. Is that new indoor sports arena where polar palace used to be still opening,? Keep hearing no because of the city politics....and based on this incident can see it being true.
-
Get him and his lackies out!!!
-
Why do they call it a meeting, they didn't really accomplish anything
-
What a mess!
-
All officers should stand no problem with seating and I bet the meeting would be shorter

Commissioner Brady is the very definition of a political gadfly. This meeting is a stark example of why people despise and distrust government.

Four points: 1. Humble leadership goes a long way. The tighter the grip, the more chaos it creates. All of you are servants and some of you should make adjustments to align with that. Learn the process first. Make small moves... understand the role first then make bigger changes later. 2. You can't steer an aircraft carrier with a spoon and expect to make 90 degree turns. Government is slow - and so is the task of learning how it works. 3. Even if unintentional, email communications brushed up against violating the Open Meetings Act. 4. This isn't about seating, procedure, or RRoO, this is about decorum and for the last 5 hours, there hasn't been any. Aside from Atwood, none of you had that. Especially the last commentary made. Singling out individuals in a public meeting is poor form and suspending the law (Open Meetings Act) is way out of line (thank goodness for the presence of the attorney). This is proof that training is in order. For the sake of this community, I hope that none of you feel above that opportunity. I also encourage a special meeting to learn what other communities are doing and see how meetings can be more effective. The staff was very kind to give you basic, non-essential items on your agenda. Learn from them. Ask the staff before dying on a hill on a topic that could have been resolved in 10 seconds. ALL of you should be thankful that Atwood is sitting at the table with you. He's a well respected and knowledgeable member of this board. Again, I wish all of you the best of luck. Hopefully grace and humility will present itself. In the meantime, this session is now and forever on the internet as a perfect example of a broken local government.
