As a veteran of the United Sates Army (2002-2012) with multiple deployments around the world including Iraq, I find this absurd that a business must go in front of a group of City Commissioners to get their hours adjusted. This is not freedom. It’s the government putting their hands where they don’t belong. On top of that, the meeting to vote on getting hours adjusted gets postponed due to what was CLEARLY some commissioners interjecting their own personal feelings and thoughts into this business. I may be wrong, but it seems that may be a violation of duty. Are you holding your position to serve your own needs? If so, that’s the exact opposite of Service. To the commissioner who indicated that Sundays are deemed “family days”. How about you go ask our MUCH appreciated first responders of the city if they get family days every Sunday. Or members of our Armed Services. Or any other people who may work on Sundays. Have you ever thought that maybe some couples or just people in general only get Sundays to shop for whatever reason? Now it was very clear based off your body language and tone that you were trying to come up with anything and everything to attempt to deny the hours. This reiterates my claim of interjecting personal feelings and thoughts into this topic. When you made the claim that the hours in the letter were confusing, the City Attorney clearly stated what was meant by it. You just chose to ignore him. How dare you make him look like he doesn’t know what he’s talking about? Is it because you don’t support the business? Again, are you interjecting your personal thoughts and feelings into your decision-making process on this topic? To the commissioner who wants “data”. The Business Owner asked you what data are you looking for specifically, and you indicated something with check marks. Since I 100% support this business, I can sit down and draw checkmarks all day long and then hand you a book of check marks at the next meeting. My point is if you ask for data, you should be a tad more specific about what type of data you’re wanting. Hats off to the people who support this business. You're awesome! In closing: You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to negatively impact somebody else’s success!

Personally I think denying a business to be open on Sundays because of your religious beliefs is absurd. Sundays are my only day off, therefore it is when I do all my shopping. What is the point in postponing anyway? Also, your question "how many times have the police been called?" Way to make businesses hesitate to call incase of an emergency for fear of losing their ability to be open peak sales hours. Another thing...people like discretion when it comes to purchasing their intimate products, so being able to buy them after Aldi has closed( or any other stores that they may run into their friends from church, work, ect) would be ideal.

I've been in that store a few times on Saturdays and it's been busy. Nobody cares about what you have to say for the little time you sat in the parking lot. Your comment is null and void. Also, that's just CREEPY!
